Spaceport America Cup 2018 SA Cup is the world's largest intercollegiate rocket engineering conference and competition

The Spaceport America Cup is designed around IREC - the Intercollegiate Rocket Engineering Competition for student rocketry teams from all over the country and around the world. With over 140 teams from colleges and universities in eleven countries, 2017 was the competition's biggest year yet. Students launch solid, liquid, and hybrid rockets to target altitudes of 10,000 and 30,000 feet.
Spaceport America is located between the cities of Las Cruces New Mexico and Truth or Consequences New Mexico. The Jornada Mountain Range separates Spaceport America from White Sands Missile Range. Sharing the controlled airspace allows students rocketeers to soar their rockets to unprecedented heights. A portion of the Spaceport America Cup will take place in Las Cruces, NM.

James Barrowman Award SunrIde is the proud award winner of the James Barrowman award for its most accurate altitude prediction. The award is named after James S. Barrowman famous for 'Barrowman Equation' which helps in determining the center of pressure of a rocket flying subsonically and at small angles of attack to a high order of accuracy. The team along with UKRA is proud to have achieved the award on their very first flight.
